kinect-audio-setup software package provides helpers to setup audio input from the Microsoft Kinect sensor, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install kinect-audio-setup
kinect-audio-setup is installed in your system.
Make ensure the kinect-audio-setup package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kinect-audio-setup *
You will get with kinect-audio-setup package name, version, architecture and description in a table
